But I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for Tyre and [2532] Sidon at the day of judgment, than for you.

Then saith he to the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And [2532] he stretched it forth; and [2532] it was restored whole, like as the other.

And some fell among thorns; and [2532] the thorns sprung up, and [2532] choked them :

But other fell into good ground, and [2532] brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold.

And [2532] the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables?

For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and [2532] he shall have more abundance : but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even [2532] that he hath.

Therefore speak I to them in parables : because they seeing see not; and [2532] hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.

And [2532] in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and [2532] shall not understand; and [2532] seeing ye shall see, and [2532] shall not perceive :

For this people's heart is waxed gross, and [2532] their ears are dull of hearing, and [2532] their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and [2532] hear with their ears, and [2532] should understand with their heart, and [2532] should be converted, and [2532] I should heal them.
