I have heard a rumour from the LORD [03068], and an ambassador is sent unto the heathen, saying, Gather ye together, and come against her, and rise up to the battle.

Shout against her round about : she hath given her hand : her foundations are fallen, her walls are thrown down : for it is the vengeance of the LORD [03068]: take vengeance upon her; as she hath done, do unto her.

Call together the archers against Babylon : all ye that bend the bow, camp against it round about; let none thereof escape : recompense her according to her work; according to all that she hath done, do unto her: for she hath been proud against the LORD [03068], against the Holy One of Israel.

Set up the standard upon the walls of Babylon, make the watch strong, set up the watchmen, prepare the ambushes : for the LORD [03068] hath both devised and done that which he spake against the inhabitants of Babylon.
