Jer 18:4 Strong Concordance And the vessel [03627] that he made [06213] of clay [02563] was marred [07843] in the hand [03027] of the potter [03335]: so he made [06213] it again [07725] another [0312] vessel [03627], as seemed [05869] good [03474] to the potter [03335] to make [06213] it.
  King James And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it.

marred--spoiled. "Of clay" is the true reading, which was corrupted into "as clay" (Margin), through the similarity of the two Hebrew letters, and from Jer 18:6, "as the clay."
